My TOS :
Hello everyone, I have been suffering with TOS since October 2003. I had been taken off of work for 3.5 months and was on all different kinds of medications for pain. Nothing helped me. I have a coworker who was concerned enough when she heard about the type of surgery out there for us TOSers, that she talked to her chiropractor about me and my situation. Well, I started seeing Dr. Guenther in January 2004 and three weeks later he had me back to work. Now don't get me wrong, I still have many problems with my TOS and I was told like many of you that it will never go away totally. I was told that although I am not optimal in my recovery I am functional, and that is a long way from where I was before I started seeing Dr Guenther DC. Before treatment with him I was unable to do anything other than sit in bed or on the couch, the pain was so severe. I have some good days and some very bad days still and I always will, but at least I can say that I have improved immensely since starting treatment with his office and I am eternally gratefull for what he and his staff have done for me. Of course I still have to take medication for pain but not nearly as much as I needed to take prior to treatment. Please contact Dr. Guenther if you are in the sacramento area and are in need of help for your TOS. If he can't help you he will let you know after the first few treatments. Of course SCIF has denied this is a workers compensation case but I am fighting it and feel very confident that I will win the court case when I get to that point, but it will be a long hard fight. I am in the process of trying to get telecommuting as a reasonable accommodation from my workplace and the dr feels that would be very beneficial for me.
