My TOS :
I've read many of your notes on the TOS website, and am wondering if I have TOS. I am on disability due to extreme pain in my neck/ upper trapezius muscles, and have a little numbness/tingling in my hands, but not a whole lot. I have worked in the software biz, which means typing all day every day for 22 years! It hurts to type now. My xrays show some degenerative disc disease, but not the worse xrays ever... so now my disab. insurance is cutting my off, but I'm totally incapable of working. My question is, do all tos patients have extensive numbness of the whole arm, and cold/white hands? I don't have the whiteness (I'm really pale anyway), and my hands are cold, but it's winter. I would love to hear from you on whether TOS always involves so much numbness, as well as the chest symptoms the website describes. Also, HOW do you convince your disability insurance that you're really unwell? thanks.
I have retained an attorney to help me convince my disability and workers comp that my pain is real... the attorney told me about this book: "Trigger Point Workbook" by Clair Davies... I haven't seen the book yet. Also, he recommends finding a neurologist who knows about TOS, and having an MRA (not MRI) to show the vascular/neural blockage. Good luck; my heart goes out to all of you who are suffering.
None.
