My TOS :
I was diagnosed with TOS five years ago. After trying every conservative method that was available, I decided to have the surgery. I had it 9 months ago (Sept. 04) and the TOS is definetely better, but I still have chronic neck pain.
I had TOS surgery and I regret it now. My head is now out of alignment with the rest of my body. My head is mostly supported by the right side of my neck ( because of the left neck muscles being removed). It has been over a year since surgery and I would not recommend that to anyone. I also have problems with my left shoulder blade winging out due to the long thoracic nerve being irritated during surgery. My neck looks thinner on my left side, I have lost my range of motion and in short the surgery caused more problems than I had previously.
