My TOS :
I have been suffering from severe headaches for years but got used to having them. Last March I started working out doing the body for life program. The High intensity workout left me having the following episodes: I would feel like puking, my arms go numb, I get dizzy, fall to the ground, lose my ability to speak, pupils dialated, and then my heart rate would drop. Finally after about 10 minutes sitting on the ground I would break out in a cold sweat head to toe and then I would be ok and continue working out, but not with the same intensity. My doctor pulled me out of work July this year and I began tons of testing. The cardiologist saw a strong heart and many tests later...all was ok. The first nerologist tapped my legs and said I was ok. My primary care physician sent me to Dr. Hammesfahr and he immediatly found I was suffering from encephalopathy or ministrokes. Although the treatment with nitroglycerin is helping we seem to now be finding the cause. I have been really dizzy and falling forward - Dr. Harris saw me on Friday and said that I was suffering from this syndrome...he said it was do to the extreme workouts, lack of stretching and began doing some deep neromuscular massage. It seems to be helping...I walked out without the cane. But soon after the dizzyness came back and we are meeting once a week to break down the muscle in the chest area. The chiropractor said that he had never seen such a severe case due to the overdevelopment of the chest and shoulder area. I hope the diagnosis and treatment is correct because it cost me my career. I'm hopeful I can get my life back on track by 40 (January) but this has blown me away. Especially the strokes and the loss of concentration caused by lack of blood flow. Any one with similar experience would help confirt the diagnosis. It all seems kind of wierd to me.
