I have been dealing with the pain, numbness, and tingling for over 2 years now. It was first said to be Carpel Tunnel. I had surgery on the right wrist and then the left. The right surgery did very little to releif the pain. The left went great for about 6 weeks. Then it all came back. No one seemed to know what was wrong with me. This has been very stressful since I have a 18 month old baby. I saw a doctor who said I had Double Crushed Syndrome and sent me to Louisville Kentucky. I saw a doctor there that only deals with this stuff. He has now told me I have Carple Tunnel, Thoracic outlet Syndrome and Triple Crushed Syndrome. They want to do Surgery. If anyone has any info on TRANSAXILLARY FIRST RIB RESECTION AND SCALENECTOMY please help me out. This stuff looks very scary. Please feel free to email me. Thanks for your help.
HI Everyone. Just a update on what has been going on. I have been on 4-5 pain pills a day, 4-5 muscles relaxers, migrain pills and pain patches every day for 3 years. I have had 4 migrains a week for more then 1 yr. Well on March 2nd 2005 i went in for the FIRST RIB RESECTIONAND THE TRANSCERVICAL ANTERIOR AND MIDDLE SCALENECTOMIE WITH BRACHIAL PLEXUS AND SUBCLOVIOR ARTERY AND VEIN DECOMPRESSION (SCALENECTOMY)Left side. Anyways i had a lot of scar damage done to the muscles in the neck. However the surgery went great. 2 weeks after having it done i was in there asking the dr to get the other side done. After this first surgery i have only 10 pain pills and only 2 migrains in 2 mon. They say 3-6 mon between surgeries. However i had the right side done on May 17th 2005.(2 mon after the first) 1 week ago. It has been great. I have no pain. numbness, tingling or anything. It has been 3 days and i have had no pain pills. I go back for a follow up next week. As of right now i feel both surgeries were a plus. I am so great full to Dr. Atasoy for giving me my life back. I wish everyone else luck in finding a great dr. My thoughts are with everyone who has ever had this. Take care
