My TOS :
Hello, I'm 21 and had my first TOS surgery in December of 2004. During the surgery it was discovered that I had an extra fibrous band covering both scalene muscles and 1st rib. Both scalene muscles were removed along with the band and 1st rib. This has relieved my pain greatly. I encourgage anyone with TOS to undergo the surgery. Even though it's only been a month,I'm now albe to go back to being a normal college student, without being drugged up on pain meds all the time. Except for significant weakness in my hands, which should get better with time, I have no sypmptoms.
