My TOS :
A lucky fellow I have been, for nearly 67 years,as my MD's have put it, "disgustingly healthy...how can I make a living off you?" But suddenly, I'm a bit scared. I'm extremely active, always building something, mowing the lawn, driving 16 hours, typing for hours on end, using my HANDS. About three months ago, I began waking up in the night with my arm "asleep".. tingling, numb. My regular MD disgnosed "possible TOS". I was impressed that he knew the test for it. Next step:The Vascular MD's testing monitor showed a "flat line" on pulse to my arms, in the "hands up" test they did, with the pressure cuffs on arms and fingers. So now I go to see a cardiologist who "does TOS surgery", on 7/21/04. As I read all the horror stories of poor results from "rib removal ..Yikes!" , etc, I will be forewarned, when I meet with this new MD. I'm already considering surgery to be my very LAST resort. Any advice will be appreciated, and I will share the outcome of my appt w/ him. Let's talk.
None.
