My TOS :
I was diagnosed in January 2004 after going to an IME in Missoula. Started showing symptoms in summer of 2002, with numbing in fingers, pain in shoulder, and elbow pain. After going to 4 different specialist, starting with Dr Roane a Rheumatologist. Who thought it might be TOS from working. Had surgery on my left shoulder on July 23rd,04. Helped relieve pain in my shoulder. After nearly five weeks have about 40% use of left arm with numbness in shoulder area and elevated sensation in the pectoral region.
Started experiencing numbness in hand, having pain in shoulders and elbow in August of 2002. Went and Seen Dr Roane a rheumotologist and he was the first to mention TOS. He referred me for some test and as time went on, wound up seeing Dr. Moseley who said he was sure it was TOS and that I should see his associate DR Cook who conferred it was TOS. I has to go through an IME to confirm that I had TOS, so it would be picked up by Work Comp. So on July 23 had left side scalenectomy, helped relieve pain in my shoulder. Three months later had right side scalenctomy with relieve to the arm and shoulder. Still had some pain in the right wrist. Dr. Moseley said he was going to do a carpal tunnel surgery along with the scalenctomy on the right side. Said he would do the carpal tunnel in March 2005 since I am still having pain in the wrist.
