My TOS :
After seeing 20 doctors - I am not exaggerating - I was finally diagnosed with tos in I think 2000. I was in a car accident in 1997. I basically walked away from the accident with a bad headache and neck pain but as the day went on the other symptoms soon followed. Pain in my shoulder, numbness and weakness in my hand, chest pains that felt like a heart attack and fatigue from the stress of being in pain all of the time. I had xrays, EMG's, MRI's, several different types of physical therapy, trigger point injections, botox injections, epiderals and like I said above - saw 20 doctors! After dealing with this for nearly eight years I have raelized that the only things that really work are massages once in a while, but not too aggressive, good posture and not doing things that aggrivate it - like vacuuming for too long, carrying packages that are too heavy, typing/writing for long periods of time, etc. Sometimes "out of sight IS out of mind"... One last thing - Starting about two weeks ago I started having horrible LOWER back pain, more like spasms, that wake me every morning at @6am...my masseuse, who is a nursing student/reiki instructor, belives that because everything in the body is connected that this has something to do with my TOS...I have a doctor's appt tomorrow and will probably end up getting an MRI. Until I get any answers, has anyone encountered this??? Any input would be helpful. Thanxxx, phyl
