My TOS  :

My pain began in 11/03 as a burning sensation in my upper arm. I went to my regular doctor and was put on Ziac for high blood pressure. After 2 months of severe burning in my arm I saw a nuerosurgeon and was diagnosed with brachial neuritis. He recommended physical therapy which I did 3 times but discontinued due to it being to painful. Continued to have severe pain in the arm and was recommended that I see a surgeon. My first appointment with my surgeon was 4/8/4. I had a nerve conduction study on 4/12 and had a 1st rib resection on 4/21/4. My pain decreased to a 3 or 4 on a scale of 1-10. In june I began having burning pain again. I started physical therapy again and saw a pain specialist as well. I had steroid injection on 7/29/04 and at that time I felt I got some relief. I continued physical therapy but would only get relief for 1 or 2 days so after 3 months I discontinued. In 10/04 pain was back at a 10 so I had a cervical facet injection. I had some relief for 2-3 weeks. In 1/05 pain continued and would come and go. I would have a few good days of 3-4 pain then 2 or 3 days of excrutiating burning pain. Continued seeing surgeon and pain specialist throughout this entire time. May 05 pain specialist started me on Soma and ordered and MRI o the cervical spine. Results were fine but was started on Zonegran. I have taken Wellbutrin,Skelaxin, Nuerontin. In rare instance I will take a pain pill in the evening. I am in constant pain and am desperate for help. The pain in my neck, arm and shoulder is almost unbearble. It is almost impossible to sit for any length of time as it worsens the pain. Standing or lying down gives me little relief but it does give me some.
